My partnership with Mazsalaca municipality has been an enjoyable process all the way - it involves deep research in the cities history, and pure, joyful design creation.The city's history is as intertwined with bicycles as it can be - thus the design theme of the city's festivities almost always involves bicycles, and the celebration of culture.

Research


One of the most important aspects of my work together with the municipality was the discovery of old imagery, consting of the vibrant and rich bicycle culture of the town.Images were gathered from the local library and private archives, then, reused in the inaugural designs.
